OUR FOUNDER

When Dr. Gruber founded Integrated Orthopedics, after over a decade of practicing as an orthopedic surgeon, he had one goal:
• To build an orthopedic practice that puts patients first and provides the highest quality patient experience.
Each day we are pleased to receive feedback from patients in the office and online through social media that lets us know we are meeting our goal. Our teams works hard each day to get even better.
Just like the orthopedic surgeon who fixed Dr. Gruber’s elbow when he was 12, which allowed him to continue playing baseball, including at the collegiate level, he likes watching people get better. And it’s what drives him in his work each day.
Because of Dr. Gruber’s expertise in sports medicine, he has remained highly involved as the team physician for a number of sports teams. He has been involved with University of Michigan team sports including Wolverine Football. While in St. Louis he was an integral part of the medical team for the St. Louis Blues Hockey Club and the St. Louis Rams Football Organization. He was also involved with the March Madness Basketball Tournament and Team USA Development Hockey.
Dr. Gruber has expertise in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. His specific interests are rotator cuff disease and anterior cruciate ligament injury to the knee. Research has always been a passion for Dr. Gruber, and he has been published in the premier orthopedic journals Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.
We invite you to learn more about our practice by looking around the website and checking out our orthopedics blog. If you ever have a need for orthopedic care, we hope you will consider Integrated Orthopedics for that care.
Dr. Brian Gruber, MD, MBA
Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon | Sports Medicine & Arthroscopic Surgery | Knee & Shoulder Surgery
As a kid, Dr. Brian Gruber loved playing baseball. Naturally, like lots of kids, he thought he’d be a pro baseball player. However, a baseball pitching injury when he was 12-years-old brought him into an orthopedic surgeon’s office and from that day on, he had a new life goal and became focused on becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
Dr. Gruber spent many years on the path to pursuing his goal, beginning with an undergraduate degree from Newman University in Kansas where he was also an academic All-American in Baseball. He then went on to graduate with honors and Alpha Omega Alpha recognition from the University of Illinois Chicago. Dr. Gruber completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Michigan Hospital and Health System in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and then completed his orthopedic and sports medicine training at Washington University. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and has specific training in orthopedic Sports Medicine.
